Ceratostigma willmottianum Forest Blue is a variety which was raised by famous breeder Peter Catt at Liss Forest Nurseries in Hampshire. It forms a low spreading shrub with bristly foliage with a slight purple margin, in late summer and autumn masses of deep blue flowers are produced.
Ceratostigma willmottianum Forest Blue is a very useful shrub that comes into its own as many other flowers are finishing and makes a tidy mound, in addition to the flowers the leaves turn a beautiful yellow before they fall. Best grown in a well drained soil in full sun.
