Dodonea viscosa Purpurea (Purple Hopseed Bush). A beautiful shrub originating in Australia with bronzy-green foliage which turns deep purple-red in Autumn and Winter. In hot seasons masses of pale pink bracts are formed around the flowers from mid to late summer.

Dodonea viscosa Purpurea is best planted in full sun in a position which is sheltered from cold winter winds. The purple evergreen foliage of this plant is at its peak in the winter months when it really stands out.
