Plant Information

Allium stipitatum Mount Everest has rounded heads of starry white flowers in late spring. Strap like grey green leaves. Thrives in fertile well drained soil in full sun. Ideal for both containers and borders. Fully hardy. RHS Award of Garden Merit

Allium stipitatum Mount Everest bulbs go dormant after flowering so it is important to plant them where you will not disturb them, often they will start to seed around the base of the plant and in time a clump will form, if these become congested then the bulbs can be dug up and moved whilst they are dormant to develop new clumps. If left after flowering the seed heads will dry in the sun and are attractive if left.
