Diplarrhena latifolia, also known as Tasmanian Lily. Tufted evergreen perennial originating in Australia. Sword shaped leaves and in late spring and early summer producing upright stems which carry a succession of white flowers with purple and yellow markings inside.
Diplarrhena latifolia is an unusual looking plant which flowers freely and will always stimulate comment - surprisingly easy to grow. Best grown in a fertile soil which is moist but not too wet in full sun.
