Plant Information

Abelia grandiflora is a vigorous rounded evergreen or semi-evergreen shrub with dark green glossy foliage and from mid summer to autumn fragrant, pink-tinged, white flowers are produced in panicles at the end of the shoots.

Abelia grandiflora is best grown in full sun to part shade in a sheltered position, free from cold winter winds which may scorch the foliage. Excellent for use in a mixed border where it's late flowering can be enjoyed, this hybrid of A. chinensis x A. uniflora originally occured as a natural cross in a garden RHS Award of Garden Merit
