Buddleja davidii Harlequin, commonly known as Butterfly bush. A large growing and vigorous shrub with an upright habit and arching stems which bear large panicles of scented magenta flowers in late summer. The attractive variegated foliage makes this an attractive plant throughout the season and provides excellent contrast both with other plants and with the flowerrs from mid summer onwards.
Buddleja davidii Harlequin can be cut back hard in March April to encourage vigorous new growth and to keep the plant in control, for best results remove spent flowers to encourage repeat flowering. RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM)
